In a segment called "Let's Break a Deal," The Daily Show host expressed his astonishment at lawmakers who want to sidetrack the historic treaty recently signed with Iran.  In a segue from his Justin Bieber opening, Stewart likened the troublemaking senators to Bieber for "throwing away a tremendous opportunity because of immaturity and a lack of self control."
Perhaps most incomprehensible, Stewart said, are the 16 Democrats who are fighting the deal. The Republicans among the 59 Senators trying to scuttle the treaty are no big surprise. Republicans "woud oppose Obama on an orgasms cure cancer act," Stewart noted, or a resolution calling "Jennifer Lawrence adorable."
He also showed a clip of South Carolina Senator Linsey Graham saying his goal was to get more sanctions against Iran in place, since sanctions get people to the table. "The Iranians are already at the table," Stewart pointed out. What do you need more sanctions for? "To get them closer to the table?"
As for what could be motivating the Democrats to fight the treaty. It may be, Stewart speculates, that they are representing the great state of Israel. "Wait," he says. "That's not in our country."
